So while Nicole and I were on a quest to find Enchanted last night, Sully was trying to recreate a fairy tale of his own.
We get a lot of frogs in our yard and neighborhood. Sully loves them. While Ben and I watch Stewart and Colbert at night, Sully stands at the sliding glass door in the basement and stalks frogs. He has started going crazy whenever we go in the backyard, because he knows there are frogs back there...he's just knows it.
Well, right before we left last night, it was clear that Sully wanted to go outside. Ben said he would take him out, not knowing what an adventure it would be. They were standing out there in the dark, Sully chomping away at his own, personal salad bar (otherwise known as our backyard). Ben didn't notice anything until he let Sully back into the house and shut the door. The dog opened his mouth and out hops a (terrified) frog. The frog proceeded to leap under the couch, and Sully was hot on his trail. Ben muscled the dog into his kennel. He then lifted the couch with one arm, grabbed the frog with the other, and released him back out into the yard.
You'll be happy to know that we did not find a mangled prince or princess in our backyard this morning, no product of Sully's Dementor's kiss.
So, in honor of that poor frog that probably needs his spirits raised, here is my favorite scene from Enchanted. (We ended up finding a previously viewed copy last night. As Giselle would say, "It is magical!") You have to give Disney credit for poking fun at itself.
