Sully loves to go to Omaha. There's all those two-legged puppies to play with, Grandma Pleiss feeds him crackers when she thinks I'm not looking, and the true puppy paradise - my parents' cabin. Sully has learned to swim this summer, and on Fourth of July weekend we could not keep him out of the lake. Twice as we were trying to get things ready to head back to Iowa, he snuck away to go for a little swim. Once we do get on the road back to Iowa, it usually takes about a minute before he is fast asleep, and we usually don't hear from him until we pull into our driveway in North Liberty. On our last trip home he tried out several different sleeping positions (probably because he had to share the backseat with a cooler full of cherries). I thought you might enjoy a sampling of his creative contortions...
