In the past week, I've been to both Chicago for the conference and Bloomington, Indiana to conduct interviews for my next chapter. In short, I've seen a lot of the Illinois highways this week. I wouldn't say that these roads are the height of excitement, but one thing that I did enjoy was seeing the wisps of green, purple, pink, and white emerge in the trees throughout the week.
Spring has already arrived in Bloomington, and the trees and flowers are, well, blooming. Here's a couple shots of the trees around my hotel. And even though my allergies are going crazy just looking at these shots, they were a lovely preview of what's to come our way in Iowa.
